Board of Directors & Committees

The affairs of the Association shall be conducted by a Board of Directors and such officers as the Board may elect or appoint, in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, as the same may be amended from time to time. The composition of the Board shall be defined in the Bylaws.

The board consists of seven members that meet 4 to 6 times a year.
The Annual HOA members’ meeting is in October.

Committee Descriptions

Architectural Committee:

Please advise new owners to contact the committee if they plan any remodel. Policies are outlined in the Architectural Policies page.

Landscape Committee:

The primary purpose of the landscaping committee is in preserving and enhancing the environment of the common areas.  Read the full definition.

Roads Committee:

The roads in our village are privately maintained by the Sunrise Presidio Village HOA. Territory Drive, bordering the north edge of our village, is a county-maintained road. Read the full definition.

Guidance Committee:

The committee will be responsible for reviewing provisions of the Rules and Regulations and CC&R's to assist member compliance. The committee will communicate with members through community notices and website to better educate members on what is expected. It will also work with the HOA management company to track compliance, as well as implement the enforcement process of the Rules and Regulations as needed.

Governance Committee:

The committee will be responsible for reviewing changes in Arizona law that effect HOA's to assure current documents are in compliance. The committee will respond to member suggestions regarding proposed changes to community documents and make recommendations to the Board if the committee concludes such proposed changes warrant consideration. The committee may also initiate recommendations for change to community documents related to actual practice in administration of the HOA by the Board.

Nominating Committee:

The nominating committee shall be appointed by the Board, and be comprised of one Board member and at least two non Board members. None of the committee can be candidates running for the Board. The committee shall be responsible for actively seeking candidates for the Board of Directors, candidates for standing committees, and encouraging members to participate in video meetings of the HOA. The committee will be responsible for developing Board candidate ballots for the annual election, tabulating the ballots, and providing the Board with the names of the winning candidates.
